The sooner the better! We typically book about 12 months in advance, with peak dates being in the Spring/Early Summer (Apr-June) & Fall (Sept-Oct).

Let us let you in on a little secret... Everyone thinks they are. Except maybe models and actors, but we don’t work for them. We work for real humans, and we like it that way. We understand the intimidation that can come from being on camera, and we’ll make sure this time is different. We love doing our part to guide you (not pose you) and make sure you feel comfortable every step of the way.

The biggest thing to remember here is that if you are enjoying yourself and experiencing the present moment, it will naturally reflect in footage that is altogether beautiful, true, and (most importantly) meaningful.

We record all ceremony, reception, and other scheduled audio from a few different sources (lapel mics, on-camera shotgun mics, partnering with the DJ & his soundboard, etc.). This makes sure you are getting the highest quality sound possible from several different sources.

For letter readings, messages to each other in the morning, “interviews” with loved ones, or any other planned audio events outside of the ceremony & reception, please connect with us so we can make sure to give it the space in the day it deserves.

We are a husband & wife film company, so you can expect to have Dave & Caitlin there on your day unless we communicate otherwise upon booking. We love working together & the unique perspective it brings to your day, and we receive a lot of feedback from our clients that they like it too! Once your wedding has been captured, we each play a part in the editing process and every film is carefully crafted by the both of us.

We believe it's a key part of our job to find the perfect marriage between the music you love and the story of your film. It’s important that your film feels like you, so we'll ask you a series of questions about your music preferences– your favorite artists, genres, Spotify handles, and what you listen to when you make dinner or go on a road trip together. This all gives us helpful insight into your vibe as a couple so we can lean into your style as we start curating the music for your film!

From here, we ask that you trust us in the music selection process for two reasons. First, because we edit for story first. We strive to create films that reflect the mood of your day & take you on a journey through all the feelings and moments you’ll want to hold onto, and music plays a key role in supporting the overall story, pace and flow of your film. It’s important to us that the music compliments and elevates your story (rather than distracts or takes away from it). The second reason is licensing. We legally license all of the music in our films so we can honor the brilliant artists who created the songs in your film, as well as ensure you are able to share your film online without issue.

We work very closely with photographers, and many of the weddings we film are actually from referrals from our photographer friends (feel free to ask yours if we've worked with them before)! We respect the big role they play in capturing your day, and we make sure they have the space they need to direct and do their job well.

Time on your wedding day is precious, so most of what we shoot is candid and shot alongside the photographer (and we hope you'll feel like you're working with one team and not two!). We’ll step in to add natural direction where and when it is necessary to help you feel comfortable and add a bit of movement, but always with the goal of bringing out your most natural selves, leaning you into the present moment together & most importantly having the best time!

Yes! We provide the option of purchasing all of the raw footage of the day (categorized on a hard drive) so you can relive all your moments in their pure, unedited glory.

Yes. We typically do not include highly "posed" shots of you two and your family/bridal party, so when your photographer is taking staged group photos we usually use this time to capture a few in-between moments and scene-setting shots that evoke the overall feeling of your celebration.

We also do not place a huge focus on static details (i.e. shoes, rings, cake, etc. unless specifically requested or they contribute to the story), and instead try to incorporate more shots of you and your loved ones interacting with the details & each other.

And lastly, we do not take any shots of people eating… because that would be weird.
